First international football had Paul the Octopus, now American football has its own predictions specialist from the animal world: Jimmy Junior the turkey.

Ahead of the NFL’s three Thanksgiving Day match-ups, Jimmy Junior – named after Wild Turkey’s master bourbon distiller Jimmy Russell – offered his score predictions at Times Center in Times Square, New York.

Jimmy Junior was accompanied by former Tampa Bay Bucs and New York Jets quarterback Vinny Testaverde when he made his selections and, as you can see from the picture,  the feathered football fan favours the Dallas Cowboys over Washington Redskins in their NFC East Thanksgiving clash.

Give him a break man, it's only self preservation, what with Christmas coming and all.
