Norwich City v Aston Villa

Grant Holt has scored 15 goals in the Premier League this season, the last time a player scored more for a newly-promoted club was Andy Johnson in 2004/05.

This was Norwich’s first clean sheet in the league in their last 14 games.

This is Aston Villa’s fewest wins in a top-flight season since 1890/91 (7), when there were only 12 teams in the division.

Villa were the only side not to score from a corner in the Premier League this season.

Kevin Davies has scored three goals in his last four Premier League games.

Mark Davies has bagged four Premier League goals this season: he had scored just one in his career before this campaign.

Jonathan Walters scored only his second Premier League brace (also vs West Brom in November 2010).

 

Swansea City v Liverpool

Liverpool are the only Premier League team to have lost every away game they have fallen behind in this season (10 in total).

Liverpool were the only team to convert less than 10% of their shots into goals this season.

If all shots were goals in the league this season, Liverpool would have finished third, behind Chelsea and Man City.

Liverpool’s possession of 38% in this game was their lowest in a Premier League match this season.

Liverpool’s total of 52 points is their worst ever in the Premier League.

Stewart Downing had 72 shots without scoring (more than any other player) and created 55 chances without supplying an assist (more than any other player) in the Premier League. He also took one penalty and hit the woodwork five times.

Swansea recorded the second-highest pass completion rate in the Premier Leaguev this season (85.7%).

 

Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham

Tottenham earned more points from London derbies than any other side this season (14).

Jermain Defoe is the first player in Premier League history to reach 20 goals as a substitute.

Tottenham’s final total of 69 points is just one point fewer than their best (70 in 2009-10).

 

West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal

Arsenal recovered more points from losing positions than any other team in the Premier League (24).

Arsenal have conceded two goals before half-time in three of their last five league games.

Arsenal scored with all three of their shots on target in this game.

Baggies ‘keeper Martin Fulop made two errors leading to a goal in this game.

 

Wigan Athletic v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves have won none of their last 14 Premier League matches, losing 10 in that run.

The Latics have taken 21 points from their last nine games, more than any other side in the division.

Wolves’ opener was their first in the opening 15 mins in the Premier League the season, the final team to do so.

Wigan have scored six first half goals in their last two Premier League home games.

Wigan have won three Premier League games in a row for the first time since January 2009.
