Fulham disclose record profits

Fulham plan to expand Craven Cottage

Fulham have posted record profits of £4.8 million for the past financial year.

The Premier League club have also reported a record revenue of £77.1 million for the 2010-11 season, according to figures released for the year ending June 30, 2011.

Fulham recorded a profit of £5.4 million, before interest and taxation, and enjoyed a 4.9% increase in attendance, which saw Craven Cottage secure a 98% occupancy figure for the season.

''The club has made great strides in recent years, and this excellent set of financial results is just reward for our progress,'' Fulham chairman Mohamed Al Fayed said in a statement. ''As always, I am determined to ensure the club moves in the right direction whilst remaining true to our history, heritage and past traditions.''

The west Londoners finished the 2010-11 season eighth in the top flight and currently lie 11th in the table.

Off the field, the club's progress has been highlighted by their recently-announced plans to increase Craven Cottage's capacity to 30,000.

The stadium has been Fulham's home since 1896 and would be subject to wider facility improvements, as well as the Riverside Stand development.

On the plans, Al Fayed added: ''The announcement of our plans to redevelop the Riverside Stand, whilst opening up the Riverwalk for the benefit of the community, is further proof that my ambition for this football club remains resolute.''

Fulham, are a nice club, with a great tradition and heritage. Its good to see Fulham, so well run. Chris Jones (blue3066) why indeed cannot Everton, be run as well as Fulham ? the chairman, Bill Kenright, undoubtedly loves Everton,  but lets not forget the huge sums of money you need to successfully run a football club. Everton, have great support on Merseyside, I know because I was born just off Utting Avenue East, and lived in Crocky, for a long time. I now live in Somerset, and support my local team which is Taunton, but I will never forget going to see Everton, play all those years ago.Who could forget great players like Labone, and the manager Harry Catterick.

Kisu what has your ignoramus comment have to do with this story about Fulham.

It is stupid comments by fools like you why the UK is still an institutionally racist country.

Well done Fulham, a fantastic club, wish them all the best.

Other clubs could learn a thing or two from them.

Kisu, to suffer abuse for what you are is a terrible thing, and yes of course it hurts anyone that is singled out for racist abuse. A Jew, cannot help being a Jew, nor can a person decide the colour of their skin, or being born into a particular faith. Its downright evil to make racist comments.

Rihanna reports a racist comment?  What do you expect, once a porn star, always a porn star.  She is such a repulsive c0w that I'm not surprised if someone had a swing at her.  Racism is just words, nobody gets hurt by it.
