It's a terrible shame that our own Trevor Francis was not included in this list.

After all he was the first player to top the milion pound barrier!

Last four have been Madrid breaking their own!  Five in a row with Bale...

what a surprise that real Madrid have beaten their own record so many times!!!! If we look back over the past 5 or 6 years, I believe that they have spent an obscene amount of money bringing in some very overrated players(Cristiano apart). Florentino Perez seems to believe that buying the best!!! in his opinion each year will guarantee success, something the majority of Madrid supporters disagree with. As for Gareth Bale, why couldn`t he have been honest from the beginning, instead of the rubbish about "wanting another season to help get Tottenham into the Champions League" etc. Money talks!

BUT OH KNOW, THEY WON,T DO THAT. AND THEY SAY ITS A FAIR LIFE AND ITS ALL EQUAL.

LIEING GITS, NO WONDER I WALKED AWAY FROM FOOTBALL, ITS TOO CORRUPT THEY GET PAID FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR TOO MUCH TO KICK A BALL AROUND, ITS SILLY AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOUR SELVES.
