Photos and reports from weekend's top flight fixtures
A late Robin van Persie penalty secured a 2-1 victory for Manchester United against 10-man Liverpool at Anfield, yet it was a day where the action on the field was secondary as supporters of both clubs remembered the victims of the Hillsborough disaster.
Respect to my side and the Man united fans..
IM A MAN UTD FAN. HAPPY WITH RESULT BUT SO SAD AT THE ANAYSYS ! CREDIT HAS TO GO TO THE DECENT FANS, TO BOTH CLUBS, ETC...THERE IS A RIVALRY, BUT NOTHING IS AS IMPORTANT AS A HUMAN LIFE ! ?
IF ANYONE BELIEVES THAT IT DOES THEN THEY ARE NOTING BETTER THANH SCUM !!! THIS RIVALRY SHOULD BE CHERISHED AT MATCH DAYS, THEN PUT ASIDE IN NORMAL LIFE ! WE ALL LIVE FOR MUCH MORE THAN FOOTBALL !!!!!!!
To Malcolm Smith;
well they didn't did they, cheese dick.
Just want to say well done to both Liverpool and Man U fans at todays match, respect given and let's hope the vile chanting stops once and for all.
Going along with Paul's comments other teams always used to say that Liverpool got the rub of the green when we were the dominent team in English football 20 odd years ago. What comes around goes around as they say. More importantly though if Hillsborough has finally given Man U and Liverpool fans the chance to respect each other for their equally great achievements without the bile which was really getting out of proportion in recent years then some good has come out tragedy.
I personally feel more at peace with Man U today. Credit to all at the ground and may the rivalry go on but paying due respect to each for producing the two best teams in this country ever.
Frank Ford, you are a ****, I believe in Karma and you will get yours you vicious tounged moron. Get your facts right, it's idiots like you that incite riots by making false statements.
Why is it that when Chelsea score a late winner we´re "sparing our blushes" yet when Man Utd score a late winner they are given credit for fighting until the end etc ?
Seems a strange way for MSN to report on what was a deserved Chelsea victory against a very stubborn Stoke defence.
