Amusingly, AC Milan seem interested in the reincarnation of Mark Hately, but then baulked when they learnt of that price tag. It seems most likely he'll end up on loan somewhere - if he does move - with Milan, Fulham, Newcastle and West Ham all possible destinations.

Arsenal fans. Bear in mind I like arsenal , not a fan but.....
Here's how your season will go, you'll start well, coming up to xmas you'll be toptwo/three could it be your year? Everyone agrees you're playing the best football in the league. Bad weather arrives, some poor away loses in the north (your glad Bolton & Blackburn are gone) some injuries to key players and the depth of your squad is revealed yet again to be too thin. MOTD debate "who will Wenger buy in January? Why didn't he buy a striker and defender in the close season?" Van Persie goes so you can get some kind of fee, Rumours that you're in for a top line European striker, you buy a player no one has heard of from Lille who Wenger describes as "one for the future". Trouble is that he was doing this five years and "the future" has never arrived.  Still in five competitions though. Then in the space of two weeks you get knocked out of four of them. Finish 3rd/4th and celebrate this as a success. Then the fans turn around and try and convince everyone that being the most astutely run club in the premiership is something to be proud of. Final home game your team does a lap of honour parading the end of year accounts.

RE: VAN PERSIE. ok, it was silly to let him go down to his last year of his contract, but, for him to say he gave his all to win trophies and his had enough of it. if he stayed fit in his last 8 years rather than score an average of 9 goals a season. maybe wo would have won something. Just think what his average would be if he didnt score 30+ goals last season. poor. his thought as well as others we have not won silverwear. cashing in on one good season. fair play. if he wants trophies join celtic.. no challeng there. would appriciate a reply to back ure thumbs down or ups...

RVP has one full season without injury and he thinks he's the best striker....Well after all the half seasons he's had I'd say he's not broken even yet with what he owes Arsenal....

Get rid now and lets see how well he does elsewhere.

Andy Carroll was never, and, will never be, worth £35m. Just because lfc paid silly money for him doesn't mean thats what hes worth.

The transfer of Andy Carroll was a one off and should in noway be used to aid the valuation of other transfers.

Silly scousers!

we should sell RVP now while he is worth some money. No point him being here if his hearts not in the club.

Why would you shell out for RVP, when you'll get him for free very soon??

Having been a gooner for 57 years now, I have to say that Loyalty is a thing of the Past.RVP has come from nothing and has Wenger to thank for his present  situation.      if he thinks the grass is greener get rid now dont let him hurt or damage any other player in the squad.

I wish the players a good season especially the new strikers as if we click as I am sure we will it will be great to win the treble when those who lost faith will miss out.
