Ground key to Utopian run

Nick Gifford
Utopian is not certain to line up for the Weatherbys Champion Bumper after making an impressive British debut at Fontwell.
The French import looked a horse full of promise when hacking up by 12 lengths on Sunday and will be given an entry for the Cheltenham race on March 14.
Trainer Nick Gifford is, however, not getting too carried away by the performance and will only consider the Festival if conditions were suitable.
"I was very impressed with him, but you've got to treat the form with a little bit of caution," said the Findon handler.
"There seemed to be a couple of solid benchmarks there, but he's obviously decent and he'll get an entry for Cheltenham, but by no means are we going to run.
"We'll keep one eye on the weather as he wouldn't want drying ground.
"He's a lovely prospect, but it's not all about Cheltenham - we'll just give ourselves the option."
