Why oh Why are people so negative, this is our team GB, support or be quiet, they need our support just for being there,
We all wish we could do a little of what they are doing,
I am behind our team GB 100%, so come on be a bit more patriotic for our team GB,
Come on team GB we are all with you. the medals will come, just believe!

Great opening ceremony good luck to all our boys and girls competing and will people who have no interest stop winging if they are not interested fair enough, but why are they looking and bothering to write negative comments. Ok the country is in a mess or so we are told and the Olympics have cost a lot but they are here enjoy or go back to sleep.

It doesn't matter what people think about the economic depression that is affecting a large proportion of those countries participating - now it is here lets at least support the individuals involved, the wonderful opening ceremony made possible by the thousands of volunteers that have and will work tirelessley throughout this event, the skill and efforts and battles fought by each and every participant are to be applauded. I want to wish good luck to everyone that is working so hard during this time.... the police and police staff, fire and ambulance, the health service staff, the bin men and women, the delivery services and catering .... in fact I hail every working man and woman involved in this event doing their utmost to welcome those from around the world. As for superior athletes, just watch and see you just might be surprised!! GOOD LUCK to us all.

Any of the people below who are sat around slatting the efforts of our sportsmen and women......why dont you stop moaning and put your time and effort into setting up sporting event in your area for young kids......Make an effort to create future sporting heros, Only then do you have the right to moan about the efforts being made !!!!! Bunch of armchair heros!!

Well if it was possible to get tickets it would be nice to see some of our great team GB performances ..however seeing as there appear to be masses of tickets gone to corporate sponsors buying blocks of seats and then NOT turning up...I feel rather angry that many people are denied the chance to support the team in person........see MSN news story on this....
