Terry Bywater led Great Britain in scoring

Great Britain made their first win of the Paralympics look easy as they crushed Colombia 81-41 to put two frustrating opening losses behind them.

Terry Bywater scored 21 points - 11 of them in the first quarter - while Dan Highcock added 15 and Simon Munn and Jon Hall had 10 apiece.

Britain had left themselves with work to do by losing their first two games to Germany and Canada, but they moved into the win column in emphatic style.

Bywater and Hall led the early charge, combining to score Britain's first 17 points and power them into a double-digit lead in the first quarter.

The advantage was 25-13 at the end of the first quarter and when the veteran Munn - who did not even come into the game until midway through the second quarter - got a shot to drop to end the first half, they had opened the gap to 46-21, ending it as a contest.

Britain scored the opening six points of the second half as the lead moved past 30.

A big three from Dan Highcock to open the fourth quarter made it 67-32 and Britain kept pushing to the end.

Coach Murray Treseder mixed up his line-up, with Jon Pollock sitting the game out after sustaining an arm injury in the warm-up, while Munn took a breather, his 10 points coming in less than 12 minutes of action.

Pollock will have an MRI before any decision is taken regarding his role against Poland on Sunday.
